Teeth Whitening with Sensitive Teeth

When it comes to teeth whitening with sensitive teeth it’s better to be safe than sorry. Fortunately there are plenty of safe ways to whiten teeth without hurting the teeth and gums. Some may take longer than others but consistency is key to white teeth. Here are the ways I keep my teeth pearly white without any pain or discomfort.

Sensitive Teeth Whitening Strips

If you are looking for a product to help get rid of stains a bit quicker whitening strips are a great option. Make sure you go with sensitive strips, such as the ones these Crest Vivid White Sensitive Strips you can find at Target. I love these because they show results without the sensitivity!

Baking Soda

Along with whitening strips I use baking soda for a natural whitening solution. You can add the baking soda to water to form a paste and brush your teeth with. You can also use a toothpaste with baking soda in it but I like to make this paste because it’s a bit more abrasive without causing any sensitivity. I treat this like a face mask, a few times a week but not everyday! You can get baking soda really anywhere but here is what I use from Target.

Hydrogen Peroxide

This is my go to teeth whitening product! I really believe this is the holy grail and how I keep my teeth white. I use this every night by swishing it in my mouth for 30 seconds and then brushing after. The best part about this product is it easily accessible and affordable! You can find it many places but I get it from Target.

With all of these products consistency is key! Make sure to keep up with these products, not just to use them once the teeth lose their whiteness or become dull. Here are a few other tips for keeping teeth white:

  • Drink coffee and tea through a straw (Crazy yes! But dark drinks stain the teeth)
  • Or switch to lighter sources of caffeine, such as green tea
  • Keep up with brushing and flossing!
  • Quit smoking, its horrible for the teeth
